Presberg
It is a cozy little town which lays the highest of all the towns annexed to Ruedesheim. Specially nature lovers enjoy visiting this place; it offers wonderful walk and hiking paths with a marvellous view over the Taunus and Hunsrueck hills.
It is a very beloved place for wintersports; long-run loops and hills offer much fun for young and old during the winter time. Due to its 450 mts altitude, it is the town on the Rhine river where the snow stays the longest. Years ago people started to settle around the old church and more and more recognized its attractive and peaceful athmosphere. Besides the wine growing people here live also from the agriculture and cattle farming, as well as from wood picking and the slate production. On the south slopes of the Groloch stream there is still a support wall built in the old wine-growing times.
